Gautam Solar, with 28+ years of experience in the solar industry is ranked among the Global Top 30 solar module manufacturers as per Wood Mackenzie. The company operates state-of-the-art solar module manufacturing facilities in Bhiwani, Haryana and Haridwar, Uttarakhand, supported by a strong pan-India and international presence.
Currently, Gautam Solar has 5 GW solar module manufacturing capacity, out of which 4 GW is ALMM approved and 1 GW is under process. As part of its forward integration strategy, the company is also setting up an upcoming 5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, further strengthening its position in India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem.
All Gautam Solar modules are ALMM and BIS approved for the Indian market, and are manufactured in compliance with UL and IEC international standards. The company’s products are also CEC certified, making them suitable for global markets. With a strong focus on quality, reliability and advanced manufacturing, Gautam Solar continues to be a trusted partner for large-scale solar developers, EPCs and installers across India and overseas
History
Gautam Solar was established in New Delhi, India in the year 1997 under the visionary leadership of Mr. B.K. Mohanka, Ex-Professor and Engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna. Living in Delhi, which had a significant amount of pollution, he envisioned Solar Energy as the clean power source for the future. When the clean energy and sustainability industry was still in nascent stages in India, the company started as a manufacturer of Solar Energy Components. Mr. Gautam Mohanka, after graduating in MBA from MDI Gurgaon and Eco (Hons.) from SRCC, went on a backpacking trip across Europe. There, he saw a strong focus on solar energy in Germany. He visited a lot of factories in Europe and met a lot of Solar Industry professionals. This further inspired him and he started expanding the business in solar from 2002.
The company grew from strength to strength and focused on expanding its solar module manufacturing capacity. The company has been profitably growing in solar since its inception and envisions being a Global leader in Solar Manufacturing.
